Toyota Corolla Cross: Ultrasonic Sensor (Rear Right Center) Missing Message (C1AE887)

DESCRIPTION

This DTC is output when an open circuit or short occurs in the communication line between a rear center ultrasonic sensor (RRC sensor) and the rear center ultrasonic sensor (RLC sensor), or when a malfunction occurs in a rear center ultrasonic sensor (RRC sensor) on the rear.

  • Perform registration after replacing or removing and installing the ultrasonic sensor or clearance warning ECU assembly.

  • If a DTC is detected again after the repair, turn the ignition switch to ON and turn the intuitive parking assist system on, and then clear the DTC.

CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (REAR CENTER ULTRASONIC SENSOR [RLC SENSOR] - REAR CENTER ULTRASONIC SENSOR [RRC SENSOR])

(a) Disconnect the V1 rear center ultrasonic sensor (RLC sensor) connector.

(b) Disconnect the V2 rear center ultrasonic sensor (RRC sensor) connector.

(c) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
