Toyota Corolla Cross: Ultrasonic Sensor (Rear Right Corner) Missing Message (C1AE987)

DESCRIPTION

This DTC is output when an open circuit or short occurs in the communication line between a rear corner ultrasonic sensor (RR sensor) and the rear center ultrasonic sensor (RRC sensor), or when a malfunction occurs in a rear corner ultrasonic sensor (RR sensor) on the rear.

  • Perform registration after replacing or removing and installing the ultrasonic sensor or clearance warning ECU assembly.

  • If a DTC is detected again after the repair, turn the ignition switch to ON and turn the intuitive parking assist system on, and then clear the DTC.

CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (REAR CENTER ULTRASONIC SENSOR [RRC SENSOR] - REAR CORNER ULTRASONIC SENSOR [RR SENSOR])

(a) Disconnect the V2 rear center ultrasonic sensor (RRC sensor) connector.

(b) Disconnect the V3 rear corner ultrasonic sensor (RR sensor) connector.

(c) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
