CONFIRMATION DRIVING PATTERN

After repair has been completed, clear the DTC and then check that the vehicle has returned to normal by performing the following All Readiness check procedure.

DTC P1C8779
- Connect the GTS to the DLC3.
- Turn the ignition switch to ON and turn the GTS on.
- Clear the DTCs (even if no DTCs are stored, perform the clear DTC procedure).
- Turn the ignition switch off and wait for 2 minutes or more.
- Turn the ignition switch to ON and turn the GTS on.
- Turn the ignition switch to ON (READY).
- Drive the vehicle at approximately 30 km/h (19 mph) or more for approximately 10 seconds or more while maintaining a stable vehicle speed.
(If generator (MG1) does not rotate in this condition, DTC P1C8779 will be stored.)
- Enter the following menus: Powertrain / Hybrid Control / Utility / All Readiness.
- Check the DTC judgment result.
HINT:
- If the judgment result shows NORMAL, the system is normal.
- If the judgment result shows ABNORMAL, the system has a malfunction.
- If the judgment result shows INCOMPLETE, perform driving pattern again.

- Connect the GTS to the DLC3.
- Turn the ignition switch to ON and turn the GTS on.
- Clear the DTCs (even if no DTCs are stored, perform the clear DTC procedure).
- Turn the ignition switch off and wait for 2 minutes or more.
- Turn the ignition switch to ON and turn the GTS on.
- When the vehicle is stopped, turn the ignition switch to ON (READY) and gradually depress the accelerator pedal so that the engine starts.
- Drive the vehicle at approximately 30 km/h (19 mph) or more for approximately 10 seconds or more while maintaining the vehicle speed.
- Enter the following menus: Powertrain / Hybrid Control / Utility / All Readiness.
- Check the DTC judgment result.
HINT:
- If the judgment result shows NORMAL, the system is normal.
- If the judgment result shows ABNORMAL, the system has a malfunction.
- If the judgment result shows INCOMPLETE, perform driving pattern again.

If this DTC is output, the engine or gears in the transaxle may have seized. Before performing this inspection, check the engine oil, hybrid transaxle fluid, coolant (for Engine) and coolant (for Inverter) levels.
