PROCEDURE

1. INSTALL REAR TRACTION MOTOR CABLE

CAUTION:

Be sure to wear insulated gloves.

(1) Using an insulated tool, install the rear traction motor cable to the rear traction motor with transaxle assembly with the 3 bolts.

Torque:

10 N·m {102 kgf·cm, 7 ft·lbf}

NOTICE:

Keep the rear traction motor cable terminals and their installation area free from foreign matter, water, etc.

(2) Install the rear traction motor cable with the bolt.

Torque:

10 N·m {102 kgf·cm, 7 ft·lbf}

(3) Engage the 5 clamps to install the rear traction motor cable.

2. INSTALL MOTOR CABLE TERMINAL CAP

CAUTION:

Be sure to wear insulated gloves.

NOTICE:

  • Keep the motor cable terminal cap and their installation area free from foreign matter, water, etc.
  • Do not pinch the O-ring.
  • Check that the motor cable terminal cap is securely installed.

3. INSTALL CONNECTOR COVER

CAUTION:

Be sure to wear insulated gloves.

(1) Install the connector cover and connector cover bracket with the 4 bolts as shown in the illustration.

Torque:

10 N·m {102 kgf·cm, 7 ft·lbf}

4. INSTALL REAR SUSPENSION MEMBER SUB-ASSEMBLY

5. INSTALL REAR TRACTION MOTOR CABLE

CAUTION:

Be sure to wear insulated gloves.

(1) Pass the rear traction motor cable through into the vehicle body, and install the grommet to the vehicle body.

(2) Engage the clamp to install the rear traction motor cable.

(3) Engage the clamp to install the rear traction motor cable.

(4) Connect the connector.

(5) Push down the lock lever to engage the claw as shown in the illustration.

6. INSTALL SPARE WHEEL CUSHION

7. INSTALL DECK BOARD ASSEMBLY

8. INSTALL SERVICE PLUG GRIP

9. INSTALL MAIN MUFFLER UPPER HEAT INSULATOR

Torque:

5.0 N·m {51 kgf·cm, 44 in·lbf}

10. INSTALL TAIL EXHAUST PIPE ASSEMBLY

11. INSPECT FOR EXHAUST GAS LEAK
