Toyota Corolla Cross: Fail-safe Chart

FAIL-SAFE CHART

FAIL-SAFE FUNCTION

(a) If a malfunction is detected in the parking support brake system, the warning message "PKSB Malfunction Visit Your Dealer" or "PKSB Unavailable" is displayed on the multi-information display, the PKSB OFF indicator light blinks and the parking support brake system control is prohibited as necessary.

(b) If the clearance warning ECU assembly judges that there is foreign matter on an ultrasonic sensor or detection of objects is not possible in severe weather such as snow, the warning message "PKSB Unavailable" is displayed, the PKSB OFF indicator light blinks and control is canceled. The warning message "PKSB Unavailable" is temporarily displayed and turns off. The PKSB OFF indicator light blinks to inform the driver of the malfunction. When detection of an obstacle is possible, the PKSB OFF indicator turns off and the parking support brake system control returns to normal.
