CONFIRMATION DRIVING PATTERN

HINT:

  • After repairs have been completed, clear the DTCs and then check that the vehicle has returned to normal by performing the following All Readiness check procedure.
  • When clearing the permanent DTCs, refer to the Clear Permanent DTC procedure.

  1. Clear the DTCs (even if no DTCs are stored, perform the clear DTC procedure).
  2. Turn the GTS off.
  3. Turn the ignition switch off.
  4. Disconnect the GTS.
  5. Disconnect the cable from the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal and wait for 1 minute.
  6. Connect the cable to the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal.
  7. Connect the GTS to the DLC3.
  8. Turn the ignition switch to ON.
  9. Turn the GTS on.
  10. Wait for 1 second or more. [*1]

    HINT:

    [*1]: Normal judgment procedure.

The normal judgment procedure is used to complete DTC judgment and also used when clearing permanent DTCs.

  11. Enter the following menus: Powertrain / Transmission / Utility / All Readiness.
  12. Input the DTC: P060747.
  13. Check the DTC judgment result.

HINT:

Read Freeze Frame Data using the GTS. The TCM records vehicle and driving condition information as Freeze Frame Data the moment a DTC is stored. When troubleshooting, Freeze Frame Data can help determine if the vehicle was moving or stationary, if the engine was warmed up or not, if the air fuel ratio was lean or rich, and other data from the time the malfunction occurred.
