1. INSPECT BACK DOOR CONTROL SWITCH

(a) Check the resistance.

(1) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

Standard Resistance:

Tester Connection

Switch Condition

Specified Condition

U12-5 (MSW) - U12-2(MSE)

Switch off

10 kΩ or higher

U12-5 (MSW) - U12-2(MSE)

Switch on

Below 1 Ω

If the result is not as specified, replace the back door control switch.

(Back Door Control Switch)

(b) Check that the LED illuminates.

(1) Apply auxiliary battery voltage to the power back door main switch connector, and check that the back door control switch LED illuminates.

OK:

Measurement Condition

Specified Condition

Auxiliary battery positive (+) → U12-6 (ILL+)

Auxiliary battery negative (-) → U12-1 (ILL-)

LED illuminates

If the result is not as specified, replace the back door control switch.
