DESCRIPTION

The headlight ECU sub-assembly LH determines the vehicle height and performs automatic headlight beam level control based on signals from the rear height control sensor sub-assembly LH via direct line.

  • Abnormal vehicle height continuously detected

  • 10 seconds or more
  • Rear height control sensor sub-assembly LH
  • Harness or connector
  • Headlight ECU sub-assembly LH

NOTICE:

  • If the headlight ECU sub-assembly LH has been replaced, it is necessary to synchronize the vehicle information and initialize the headlight ECU sub-assembly LH.

    • Replacement of the rear height control sensor sub-assembly LH
    • Removal/installation of the rear height control sensor sub-assembly LH

PROCEDURE

1.

CLEAR DTC

(a) Clear the DTCs.

Body Electrical > Headlight Control > Clear DTCs
NEXT

2.

CHECK FOR DTC

(a) Turn the ignition switch to ON.

(b) Wait 10 seconds or more.

(c) Check for DTCs.

Body Electrical > Headlight Control > Trouble Codes

OK:

DTC B241A1C is not output.

OK

USE SIMULATION METHOD TO CHECK

INSPECT REAR HEIGHT CONTROL SENSOR SUB-ASSEMBLY LH

CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (REAR HEIGHT CONTROL SENSOR SUB-ASSEMBLY LH - HEADLIGHT ECU SUB-ASSEMBLY LH)

(a) Disconnect the Q1 rear height control sensor sub-assembly LH connector.

(b) Disconnect the A159 headlight ECU sub-assembly LH connector.

(c) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
