PRECAUTION

PRECAUTION FOR WHEN USING WIRELESS CHARGER

(a) When charging a rechargeable device while driving, for safety reasons, the driver should not operate the rechargeable device.

(b) Do not charge small, lightweight devices such as cordless headphones while driving. These objects could fly off the charging tray due to their extremely light weight, resulting in an unexpected accident.

(c) People with implantable cardiac pacemakers, cardiac resynchronization therapy pacemakers or implantable cardioverter defibrillators, or any other electrical medical device, should consult their physician about usage of the wireless charging system. Operation of the wireless charging system may have an effect on medical devices.

(d) Observe the following precautions. Failure to do so may result in a fire, equipment failure or damage, or burns due to overheating.

  • Do not put any metallic objects between the charging area and the rechargeable device while charging.
  • Do not attach metallic objects, such as aluminum stickers, to the charging area.
  • Do not cover the rechargeable device with a cloth or other object while charging.
  • Do not attempt to charge rechargeable devices which are not compatible with the Qi wireless charging standard.
  • Do not disassemble, modify or remove the mobile wireless charger cradle assembly.
  • Do not apply force or impact to the mobile wireless charger cradle assembly.

(e) In the following situations, the wireless charging system may not operate correctly:

  • When the rechargeable device is fully charged.
  • When there is a mat or foreign object more than 2 mm thick between the charging area and rechargeable device.
  • When the rechargeable device has a case, cover, or accessory that is more than 2 mm thick, or that is not compatible with the Qi wireless charging standard.
  • When the rechargeable device becomes hot from charging or from an application having been left running.
  • When hot weather or other reasons have caused the temperature in the vicinity of the charging tray to increase to 35°C or higher.
  • When a rechargeable device is placed on the charging area with its charging surface facing up.
  • When a small device or a folding type mobile phone is placed in such a way that its charging coil is outside the charging area.

  • When the vehicle is in an environment where it may be affected by strong radio waves or electrical noise.
  • When the rechargeable device is in contact with, or is covered by any metallic object.
  • When wireless keys (that emit radio waves) other than those of the vehicle are being used nearby.

(f) Do not bring magnetic recording media or magnetic cards such as credit cards, ETC cards, or NFC ID cards, etc. close to the mobile wireless charger cradle assembly while charging. Otherwise, the magnetic fields could cause data to be erased. Additionally, do not bring precision instruments, such as wristwatches, close to the mobile wireless charger cradle assembly, as such objects may malfunction.

(g) To prevent the auxiliary battery from discharging, do not use the wireless charging system for a long period of time with the engine stopped.
