PRECAUTION

PRECAUTIONS FOR DISCONNECTING CABLE FROM NEGATIVE (-) AUXILIARY BATTERY TERMINAL

NOTICE:

  • After the ignition switch is turned off, there may be a waiting time before disconnecting the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal.

    HINT:

    When disconnecting and reconnecting the auxiliary battery, there is an automatic learning function that completes learning when the respective system is used.

PRECAUTION FOR REPLACING PART

(a) If any of the following procedures are performed, the settings of the My Settings System will be cleared as shown in the following table.

  • *1: for Vehicles which display the assigned settings of Bluetooth devices on the multi-display

(b) After replacing the radio and display receiver assembly, the radio and display receiver assembly may not reflect the driver settings even if the My Settings system identifies the user.

For vehicles that need an application or account for driver settings

Conditions

The radio and display receiver assembly is replaced when the electrical key transmitter sub-assembly or is set as the My Settings device.

Symptoms

  • Although an electrical key transmitter sub-assembly or is set as a My Settings device, the name of the driver is blank.
  • Even though the user is identified, the multimedia settings are not recalled.

Action

By performing the following, driver information / multimedia settings can be reflected to the vehicle.

  • On the screen of the multi-display, select "Settings" → "Current driver" → "Profile lock by password" to ON. (The default setting is ON.)
  • Switch from driver to guest.
  • Switch to the original driver again.
  • Enter the password.

NOTICE:

By following the procedure, the assigned settings of the My Settings device (electrical key transmitter sub-assembly) will be cleared.

For vehicles that do not need an application or account for driver settings

The radio and display receiver assembly is replaced when the electrical key transmitter sub-assembly or is set as the My Settings device.

Symptoms

Although an electrical key transmitter sub-assembly is set as a My Settings device, the name of the driver is blank.

Action

Method of action before replacing the radio and display receiver assembly

  1. 1. On the screen of the multi-display, select "Settings" → "Info & Security" → "System reset" and perform an initialization.

Method of action after replacing the radio and display receiver assembly

  1. On the screen of the multi-display, register Driver 1 / Driver 2 / Driver 3.
  2. On the screen of the multi-display, select "Settings" → "Info & Security" → "System reset" and perform an initialization.

NOTICE:

By following the procedure, the assigned settings of the My Settings device (electrical key transmitter sub-assembly) will be cleared.

PRECAUTION FOR REGISTRATION

(a) Before replacing the main body ECU (multiplex network body ECU), the certification ECU (smart key ECU assembly), the electrical key transmitter sub-assembly, refer to Service Bulletin.
