Toyota Corolla Cross Owners & Service Manuals

Toyota Corolla Cross: ABS Pump Motor Control Circuit Short to Ground (C052C11,...,C142796)

DESCRIPTION

The ABS motor relay is built into the brake actuator assembly.

When the skid control ECU (brake actuator assembly) operates ABS, TRAC, VSC, brake hold or brake assist, the ABS motor relay turns ON and drives the motor pump built into the brake actuator assembly.

CAUTION / NOTICE / HINT

NOTICE:

  • Before performing troubleshooting, make sure to confirm that the auxiliary battery voltage is normal.

  • The system may store DTC C052F14 due to a drop in auxiliary battery voltage. If a DTC regarding low system supply power voltage is output at the same time, perform troubleshooting for that DTC first.
  • If the vehicle has stored DTC C052F14 due a drop in auxiliary battery voltage, it can be cleared by driving the vehicle at a speed of 15 km/h (9 mph) or more for 0.48 seconds or more and then clearing the DTCs using the GTS.
