OPERATION CHECK

CHECK THERMOSTAT IN FRONT SEAT CUSHION HEATER ASSEMBLY LH

(a) Remove the front seat cushion heater assembly LH.

(b) Remove the front seatback heater assembly LH.

  • for Manual Seat:

    Click here

  • for Power Seat:

    Click here

(c) Connect the B front seat cushion heater assembly LH connector and F front seatback heater assembly LH connector.

(d) Apply auxiliary battery voltage and check the operation of the front seat heater according to the table below.

NOTICE:

To prevent the front seat heater from overheating, be sure to disconnect the auxiliary battery from the front seat heater immediately after this inspection is completed.

OK:

Auxiliary battery Connection

Specified Condition

Auxiliary battery positive (+) → Terminal q8-1

  • Front seat cushion heater temperature 30 to 50°C (86 to 122°F)
  • Front seatback heater temperature 30 to 50°C (86 to 122°F)

Auxiliary battery negative (-) → Terminal q8-2 and q8-3

CHECK THERMOSTAT IN FRONT SEAT CUSHION HEATER ASSEMBLY RH

(a) Remove the front seat cushion heater assembly RH.

(b) Remove the front seatback heater assembly RH.

(c) Connect the C front seat cushion heater assembly RH connector and G front seatback heater assembly RH connector.

(d) Apply auxiliary battery voltage and check the operation of the front seat heater according to the table below.

Specified Condition

Auxiliary battery positive (+) → Terminal O196-6

  • Front seat cushion heater temperature 30 to 50°C (86 to 122°F)
  • Front seatback heater temperature 30 to 50°C (86 to 122°F)

Auxiliary battery negative (-) → Terminal O196-7 and O196-5
